- Where did we come form??I don't know about you, but this question has always bothered me and I knew inside myself, it wasn't from a big bang and primeval soup!! There is lots of random things going on, I'll grant you that, but the mere fact that out of the chaos that is this Universe, there is a planet suspended at exactly the right distance from a monstrous ball of gas, that sustains our life here. There is a question of balance (Moody Blues) between chaos and order. What puts me to the conclusion that we are not random is our bodies! They are the most amazing piece of organic machinery! It is, for the most part, self-healing and fully automatic. To have a processor that co-ordinates all the senses and runs the physical motion, all at the same time, is miraculous to me! Just the process of vision alone speaks of highly advanced engineering! We are starting to come close to mimicking some of these wonders with robots but to we are nowhere close to the whole package. When a robot can sit down on a piano and play Bach and I just have to give it a Booster Juice once in a while to keep it going, then I will still say we have just learned what our Father in Heaven has perfected a long time ago.
- Why am I here? I had always believed that we have a purpose here on our little planet. If your are now leaning towards the fact that maybe we did come from somewhere else Spiritually and have been put in a miraculous body, now what? I have a simple answer. To experience life! Life to me is all about the decisions we make and the consequences that follow. How we react to things we are presented with determines who we hang out with and what direction we go. The reason for that is we are inherently social beings and "Birds of a feather, flock together". Of course we are going to be around people that have similar beliefs and goals that we have! That is until we get hurt! We all get hurt BTW and that is where the "Free to choose" element comes in. We choose to fight or flight when we are hurt!! No one can make us do anything, not even the Devil! We still choose to do what he wants; revenge, hatred, eye for an eye or.....we can have the courage to fight in a different direction. We can forgive (not necessarily forget) like the Savior did. We can reach out to others that are hurting and by doing so, heal ourselves in the process. Notice I kinda got religious there, but it's the only logical path I can take as you will see in question 3.
- Where do we go when we die?? OK, if you are still reading this, that means you have at least conceded there may be a God out there some where and that He may indeed have a job for me to do while I'm here. You also must believe that there is a Devil for, just in science; for every action, there must be and equal and opposite reaction. Simpler terms, +/-, Jing/Jang. You get the idea. You are also now thinking about the fact that, we may indeed be spiritual beings, housed in a pretty neat body (I know it's not perfect and some of you feel you have a clunker but get over it, as that's part of the test!). Did I just say test? Ya, I hear you, I am not a fan of tests either but, I'm sorry to tell you that we are all enrolled in "God U" right now and how we do, determines where we go!!
If you want to know more about Mormons and what we believe, click on the Savior and he will put you on the path to a greater understanding of those questions. One other thing before I miss my deadline, I testify to you that if you follow-up and investigate the Church of Jesus Christ, meet with the Missionaries (You have all seen them at on time or another), pray about this and read the Old and New Testament and then the Book of Mormon, you will be Blessed with the same testimony that I have for I know the Bible and the Book of Mormon are true records of ancient peoples who interacted with our Father in Heaven. I know this because I have applied sincere prayer to the mix and the Holy Ghost witnessed the truthfulness of the Gospels to me. That's His job and He's very good at it! Good night and God Bless!
